TriGem's Kloss KL-I915a: Power Aplenty and Almost No Noise
Conclusion
Its well-conceived design makes this first device from TriGem a convincing effort. The dual-compartment construction separates the various sources of heat inside the case in a logical way. The CPU fan remains nearly noiseless even with a hot 3.6 GHz processor, thanks to its enormous size and the ventilation sleeve. Thus heat has no way of moving around inside the Kloss KL-I915a, which in turn means the motherboard components are protected from waste heat generated by the CPU and so are not warmed unnecessarily. On the "bottom floor" of the case a 1.6" (40 mm) PSU fan that blows the warm air from the unit.
Besides the ingenious heat management system, the candidate also makes a surprisingly solid overall impression: the workmanship is exemplary and the hardware components are easy to install. Beyond that, the mini-PC can be switched on and off using the convenient remote control.
CyberLink PowerCinema software is included as a media player for playback and/or display of all video, audio and image formats. Any other installed DVD player software is automatically integrated into PowerCinema.
The Kloss KL-I915a costs around $350.
