First Pre-Built Desktop With AMD's $900 FX-9590 Spotted

Recently, we started hearing about a 5.0 GHz CPU from AMD, which was supposed to come with a price tag of about $900. The AMD FX-9590 is a 32 nm Vishera silicon, with eight processing cores, a base clock speed of 4.8 GHz and a turbo clock speed of 5.0 GHz. That said, while it might be priced at $900, you cannot actually buy it, as it seems that it's only available to OEMs.

Now though, the CPU has actually shown up in a pre-built computer. Manufacturer Mouse Computer from Japan has crafted the Masterpiece a1500BA1, and it is a very generously equipped PC. The Masterpiece a1500BA1 features the FX-9590 processor, an MSI 9990FXA-GD80 motherboard that hasn't been announced yet, and a re-branded Radeon HD 7990, listed as an HD8990. Memory is taken care of by 16 GB of Kingston HyperX DDR3 memory, and storage by a 3 TB hard drive paired with a 256 GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD. The 220 W TDP of the AMD FX-9590 is dissipated by the Cooler Master Seidon 120XL liquid cooler. Power comes from an unnamed 1200 W 80 Plus Gold PSU.

Mouse Computer's Masterpiece a1500BA1 is listed with a price of ¥449,800, which translates to roughly USD 4,500.
