OCZ Intros New FLEX EX Memory

OCZ Technology Group pulled back the curtain on its new Flex EX Series. The new series features extreme speeds which are in high demand by system enthusiasts. The new design has a more compact form factor to allow for better installation and physical orientation to maximize usable space within your case and on or around your motherboard.

These new modules are available in DDR2 and DDR3 configurations while offering OCZ class thermal management designed for stability and performance when used in high-end gaming and overclocked systems. OCZ claims that the Flex EX thermal management solution allows high-frequency memory to operate with a balance of extreme speeds and low latencies while leaving the effects of high temperatures behind. As most of us are well aware, high temperatures can lower your chances of a successful, stable, overclock. Each Flex EX module features a built in liquid injection system design which originated in the Flex XLC Series. The new series was designed with Air and Liquid cooling in mind, utilizing an all aluminum heat module. Of course, using both solutions at the same time will ultimately provide maximum dissipation.

OCZ PC2-6400 Flex EX 4GB (2X2GB) 800MHz CL 4-4-3-15 @ 2.1V

OCZ PC3-12800 Flex EX 4GB (2x2GB) 1600MHz CL 7-6-6-24 @ 1.9V

OCZ PC3-16600 Flex EX 4GB (2x2GB) 2000MHz CL 8-8-8-30 @ 2.0V

    G. Skill Pi already has 4-4-4-12 at stock JEDEC timings(sub 2.0,ocz) at stock 800Mhz...What about when it hits 2.1V? Probably should use those OCZ FLEX EX heatsinks,LOL!

    JozALOT MORE then what G.Skill offers. Thats why I only TrusT Mushkin, the only RAM I trust for my extreme performance requirements! TrusT mushkin, you can't go wrong.Got a pair of mushkin for my best friends rig (xms2 failed him), and they're nice. But I don't find them anywhere near the performance of the ballstix I once had. They ran past 600mhz @ c5 (ddr2) just fine at 2.1v - and that was over a year ago. Before my psu failed and toasted them.
