SanDisk has announced a number of new SSDs not intended for consumer storage, but rather enterprise storage. The drives will be known as the CloudSpeed Extreme, CloudSpeed Ultra, CloudSpeed Ascend and CloudSpeed Eco SSDs, and expand on the CloudSpeed series of SSDs.
The SSDs are built to be very resistant against high-throughput loads, meaning that you can write to the drives all day long and they'll just keep on doing their work. SanDisk also boasts that one of these drives is the first on the market to support a total of ten full drive writes per day.
"Organizations in every industry are turning to SSDs to meet the challenges faced by growing volumes of data," said John Scaramuzzo, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Storage Solutions at SanDisk. "However, finding a solution that meets the performance and cost needs of your individual environment can be difficult. The CloudSpeed SATA SSD product family was designed to meet the needs of applications across the read-write spectrum, meaning organizations and server designers no longer need to make tradeoffs between system performance and cost."

All the units are shipped with a five year warranty, except the CloudSpeed Eco, which comes with a three year warranty. If you've exceeded the maximum number of writes (PBW, Petabytes Written) before the three or five year mark, your warranty will also have ended – just like car makers do, except they do it with miles driven.
Pricing hasn't been announced yet, though availability is set for mid-Q2 2014.
