Sapphire Releases Mainstream Radeon R7 260X Graphics Card

Sapphire has released its mainstream Radeon R7-260X.

For those of you who have been left wanting a mainstream R-series graphics card from Sapphire specifically, Sapphire delivers, and it does so with its Radeon R7-260X graphics card.

The new Radeon R7-260X features a GPU with 896 stream processors and is clocked at 1150 MHz. Wired to this GPU, users will find 2 GB of GDDR5 memory that runs at an effective speed of 6.6 GHz.

Sapphire's new Radeon R7-260X also has support for DirectX 11.2, as well as AMD's new TrueAudio technology, Powerplay Powermanagement, and AMD's ZeroCore Power Tech.

The graphics card should already be available at select retailers and will cost about $139.99.

    Costs $40 more than my new msi r7850 twin frozen cost me last week, but has half the bandwidth and only 3/4 the gpu. Sapphire voids warranty if you take off your shroud to clean dust out of the cooler. No thanks.

    More or less. There is a difference: The 260x comes with 2GB GDDR5 standard, whereas the 7790 only comes with 1GB; could make a difference in 1080p gaming.

    Please AMD, release some working drivers for this HW. I never went through something so stressful - BSODS, screen tears, locked clocks
    Even now I'm working with manufacturer initial drivers, with memory clocks stuck at maximum .. at least its not underperforming

    There are tons of ppl complaining about this line of cards and AMD just doesnt care

    As AMD was gonna make a 7790 rebadge, they should have tried to make it faster than 650 ti boost. AFAIK 260x is a little weaker than a 650 ti boost, isnt it?
