Graphics is another area where it's simply too difficult to generalize. As with RAM, most graphics cards can be overclocked by at least a small amount. There are several utilities available from chipmakers - such as those shown in part one of this series - card manufacturers, and even private sources to assist in this endeavor.

With general concepts and basic details exposed, it's time to get really friendly with a platform. In part three of this series we'll walk through a specific overclocking attempt, and with any luck we might find some challenging hardware to further clarify the process.
