R480 and R430: ATI's Fall PCIe Update

Radeon X800

ATI Radeon X800

Unfortunately, all that we have to show at this time of the new X800 with 12 pixel pipelines is a press photo. As in the X800 XL, ATI uses a R430 graphics core for the X800. The clock speed is 400/350 MHz.

Test Setup

We tested the new cards on an ASUS A8N-SLI with NVIDIA’s nForce 4 SLI chipset (in single operation) and an AMD Athlon64 4000+ with 1 GB RAM (DDR 400).
