Thecus N4100 Brings Storage Space To Your LAN
Administration
The N4100 uses a Web interface for remote administration; the correct local IP address (192.168.1.100) can be found in the manual. After logging in with a user name and password, the interface allows authorized users to change the network parameters as needed.
The Thecus's remote administration interface is divided into six categories: status, storage, network, accounts, system, and language. In the following, we will only cover network, storage, accounts, and systems, as the remaining two should be self-explanatory. Note that the unit needs to be restarted for any changes to take effect.
Nice touch: The drive firmware is also displayed. We did not find any performance differences between the various firmware versions, though.
