Installation of the DUB-E100 is very straightforward. Start by connecting the Type B connector of the provided USB 2.0 cable to the DUB-E100's Type B connector. Next, plug the USB 2.0 cable's Type A connector into your computer's USB 2.0 port. Attach a Category 5 Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 jack on the E100. Finally, connect the other end of the Category 5 Ethernet cable to your cable modem or switch/ hub.

Upon connection of the DUB-E100 to your Windows XP machine, XP will launch the FNHW. Make sure that the DUB-E100 Driver CD is in your CD-Rom drive, select 'Install the software automatically' and click on 'Next.' You will get an error message window that indicates the DUB-E100 has not passed the Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP; click on 'Continue Anyway.' The final screen will read 'Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard.' Click on 'Finish' to complete the installation process.

Windows 2000 will detect the DUB-E100 after installation and will also launch the FNHW. Again, make sure that the driver CD is in your CD-ROM drive and click on 'Next.' The next screen will ask how to connect to the device driver; select `Search for a suitable driver for my device' and click on 'Next.' On the 'Locate Driver Files' screen, put a check mark in CD-ROM drive box and click on 'Next.' The FNHW will find a driver for the DUB-E100 (dube100.inf); click on 'Next.' Next, you will see the 'Digital Signature Not Found' screen; click on 'Yes' to continue. To complete the installation, click on 'Finish' when you see the 'Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard' screen.
