Look! Juicy New 'Wolfenstein: The New Order' Screens

This morning, Bethesda released a batch of screens from the upcoming game Wolfenstein: The New Order for Windows PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and next-generation consoles. The game is slated to arrive in Q4 2013, but we'll get a sneak peek next month at E3 2013.

Currently under development at MachineGames, Wolfenstein: The New Order is an action-adventure shooter that "reignites the franchise widely recognized for pioneering the genre." Here is the game's story yanked from a provided fact sheet:

"Europe, 1960. The Nazis turned the tide of the war using a new kind of mysterious, advanced technology. Using unrelenting force and intimidation, they have brought even the most powerful of nations to their knees. The Nazi regime now rules the globe with an iron fist. Play as the one man who dares go up against the world’s most formidable military. You are B.J. Blazkowicz, the American war hero. You are the only man capable of rewriting history."

The previous Wolfenstein game was totally boring and uninspiring and no amount of good graphics can fix that. Unlike movies, games are meant to be played.
