By - Source: TechPowerUp | B 8 comments

ECS has launched its new range of Intel 8-Series Motherboards, which will begin shipping in Q2 2013.

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) has launched its new family of 8-series motherboards for Intel’s 4th Generation “Haswell” processors. It will be initially offered in three distinct tiers: Essentials for “home and multimedia,” Deluxe for “small office and home,” and Pro for “power computing."

The new family of motherboards will utilize ECS's new Durathon durability technology, which includes a triple density PCB, extreme temperature resistance, 1.5K point marathon testing, and “superior solid capacitors designed to greatly improve motherboard quality, stability and longevity." Also included is the company’s Hyper Alloy Choke technology, Sound Blaster Cinema, 4-way video output (DVI, HDMI, Display Port and D-Sub VGA), EZ quick charger and 4K video output.

The new chipset features support for full SATA III 6 Gb/s internal ports and PCI-Express Gen.3 x16 bus design.

ECS’s Essential, Pro and Deluxe motherboards will begin shipping in Q2 2013. The company plans to launch an additional tier for “gaming and high performance processing” following soon afterwards. The company’s “Believe to Achieve” launch trailer is available below.

Good that they try to take a bite of the market, but still I don't trust their name...

I up vote ASrock. Only option for the very high end is Asus.

Hmm, while I swear by ASUS and Asrock, ECS did a pretty good job for Z77, I look forward to see what they've improved on for z87

I'm the kind of guy who appreciates promo videos from different companies, not just in the computer industry. I like them for their production value, special effects... essentially the 'art' that goes into the video. But this... I must say this is the worst promo video I've seen so far. Sorry, ECS. Next time, don't be cheap and hire a real pro to do your promo videos.

It would be nice to know the manufacturer and series of these "superior solid caps".
    TDK? Panasonic? Nichicon? Chemi-Con?
