Apple's event is still going on in San Francisco but the company has already busted out several new devices, kicking things off with the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display to match the 15-inch model it released earlier this year.
The new 13-inch MacBook Pro features a more streamlined, slimmer design that measures in at 0.75-inches thick and weighs 3.57 lbs. That's almost a pound lighter than the old 13-inch MacBook Pro. Of course, it's got that all-important Retina display and the IPS panel packs a resolution of 2560x1600. That's the same resolution on today's 30-inch top monitors. Under the hood, there's Intel's dual-core Core i5 or Core i7 CPU, Intel HD Graphics 4000, 8GB of RAM, up to 768GB of flash, a 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a battery life of seven hours.
The laptop starts at $1699 and is shipping today. If the Retina display doesn't float your boat, you can always grab one of the older models, which will be selling at a discount.
