C&C 4 Tiberian Twilight Miltiplayer Beta Launched
The new multiplayer open beta offer four maps, three classes, and the ability to carry gained experience over to the full version next month.
Electronic Arts' upcoming RTS for the PC Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight is set to hit store shelves and digital distribution on March 16 in NA and March 19 in Europe. However, anxious fans can get an early taste by sampling the game's multiplayer portion via the just-launched open beta. Gamers can get access by signing up for the open beta right here.
According to EA, the open beta contains four maps including the new Afflicted Arena. "This new map features a once lush, Polynesian landscape transformed into a military dock by the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and currently besieged by Brotherhood of Nod forces aiming to claim the tactically important location and take control of the Pacific Rim," the company said.
The open beta will also offer three classes: Offense, Defense, and Support. It will also feature a new Persistent Player Progression system which EA said will export earned experience into the full PC game when released next month. The beta also introduces 5v5 multiplayer gameplay which should make strategic battles even more intense.
"We could not be more excited to give fans a taste of what's in store for Command & Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight with the new multiplayer beta," said Lead Designer, Samuel Bass. "Players can expect the fast-paced strategic RTS action they've come to know and love in the Command & Conquer franchise augmented with new gameplay elements that really ratchet up the intensity, especially in our 5v5 multiplayer modes."
