ATI, Nvidia announce new workstation graphic cards

Both ATI and Nvidia used the NAB tradeshow to expand their workstation grahic card portfolio. ATI launched four new models - the FireGL V3300, V3400, V5200 and V7200 - which integrate from 128 MB to 1 GB of memory and offers access to the firm's Avivio technology.

Nvidia still dominates the workstation market and added the Quadro FX 4500 X2 model, which is positioned just below the FX 5500 flagship. The new model comes with 512 MB GDDR3 memory, is SLI capable and includes quad dual-Link DVI-I connectors.

ATI and Nvidia did not announce prices for their new graphic cards.
