Super Talent's New SSD Upgrade for Asus Eee PC
Super Talent today released its SSD upgrade drives, which it is aiming squarely at users of the Asus Eee PC line.
Available in capacities of 16, 32 and 64 GB, the Super Talent SSDs feature a maximum read speed of 90 MB/s and a write speed of 55 MB/s. The drives utilize the SATA interface but are said by the company to be specifically designed for the Asus S101 Eee PC, and we’re uncertain if these drives would work with the rest of the Eee line.

The Windows version of the S101 ships with a 16 GB SSD, so those finding that inadequate do have the option of quadrupling that for $169. Super Talent did not reveal pricing on those with smaller capacities, but we’ll soon find out when they hit the market.
