Desktop Logitech LX: Comfort and Style

A Full Range Of Settings

Logitech has developed new drivers for its keyboards and mice that are truly full-featured and very user-friendly. The control panel is divided into three tabs: "My mouse," "My keyboard," and "Tools." The mouse tab is subdivided into vertical tabs.

One panel is used for assigning buttons. Each button on the mouse zooms so that there's no chance of error. Unfortunately, horizontal scrolling with the tilt wheel can't be assigned to a key. This means that games can't take advantage of this function, and that's a shame. The second panel allows you to adjust resolution, cursor speed, and the vertical and horizontal scroll speed of the wheel. Finally, a power panel tells you the battery's current charge level.

For the keyboard, two panels let you assign all the shortcut keys to your favorite functions. Here again, there's a diagram and icons to make it easier. You can also set the keyboard so that it can't be intercepted by another receiver. There is a panel that tells you what shape your batteries are in, just as for the mouse. Finally, under Tools, you'll find tutorial and help functions.
