As with Asus and Aopen, Gigabyte provided the test lab with two boards, one each with the 845GE and 845PE chipsets. The colorful environment of the individual card slots sticks out. Not that that means more style in every case. The prime difference between the two boards is that the GA-8GE667 does without the NEC FireWire chip, the Promise RAID controller and the CNR slot.
