Given that Crytek has not yet released the patch for version v1.2 and Microsoft's Windows XP Service Pack 2, including DirectX 9.0c, is still in the beta stage, we decided not use the patch or Shader Model 3.0.
Both provide a significant boost in the performance of NVIDIA cards (see also FarCry Patch v1.2 With Shader Model 3.0 ).
Thanks to a higher clock speed, the CoolFX Ultra/2600 leaves the standard 6800 Ultras and the X800 XT PE in the dust.
With FSAA and AF, ATI takes the lead again.
