Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is our ultimate torture tester. Even on the upgraded platform, the GeForce 8800GTX cannot produce more than 30 frames per second in the outdoor 2560x1600 test.
One interesting observation in the Oblivion tests is how well the AMD platform performed at the higher resolutions. The AMD Athlon FX-60 was able to deliver higher frames per second at 2048x1536 and slightly fewer frames at 2560x1600 than the Extreme Edition processor.
