Computer helper speeds neuroscience experiments

A computer system that monitors the behaviour of simple creatures for neuroscience experiments could ultimately help scientists develop new drugs, researchers say.

Scientists already test drugs by monitoring their effects on animals like flatworms and zebrafish, as these provide a good, simple model of the human nervous system. Unfortunately, this process is normally long and laborious.
