An enthusiast class card for the entry-level gamer

A 3080 Ti by any other name

Our Zotac RTX 3050 Twin Edge OC review is a taste of things to come. Nvidia's official MSRP for the GPU is only $249, but Zotac's factory overclocked card has an MSRP that's $150 higher.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 provides all the RTX features at a theoretically lower price, though we suspect it will sell for far more than than $249 MSRP for quite a while.

AMD's Radeon RX 6500 XT comes with a theoretical price point of $199 and includes all the RDNA2 architectural goodness, but AMD may have gone a bit too far cutting features and specs.

Eight months later

The RX 6600 brings AMD's RDNA2 architecture to a broader mainstream audience. The paper specs and pricing look good. Hopefully retail pricing doesn't change too much.

The ASRock RX 6900 XT Formula packs a massive cooler and plenty of power, with modest bling and performance that matches the fastest GPUs around — at least until you turn on ray tracing.
