Stop the presses, because this might just be the best Black Friday deal that we’ve seen so far. Newegg has caught bargain fever with simply unbelievable prices on two Asus AM5 motherboards for AMD CPUs, throwing in 16GB of DDR5-6000 RAM for free on both boards.
RAM prices are astronomical at the moment, costing more than a PS5 in some cases, which makes this Asus deal all the more shocking to see right now. The first deal is on an Asus TUF Gaming B50M-E motherboard for just $169.99 (yes, that’s including the RAM), or you can save $10 and opt for the Asus B580 Max Gaming Wifi W for $159.99 instead.
First, the Asus TUF Gaming B50M-E. This micro-ATX AM5 board features three M.2 slots for SSDs, one rated for Gen 5 speeds, as well as four RAM slots for DDR5 memory, with this board supporting up to 256GB (sadly, you’re not getting that much for free, here). It includes a built-in 2.5G Ethernet port, Wi-Fi 6E support with an antenna included, as well as eight USB ports on the rear. This is a premium but affordable motherboard that’ll support modern AMD CPUs from the last couple of years, including top-tier performers like the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
The second deal is on that $159.99 Asus B580 Max Gaming Wifi W motherboard with its larger ATX board size. Like its TUF Gaming sibling, it has four DIMM slots that support up to 256GB RAM – this deal means you’ll still have two slots spare for upgrades later. It has three M.2 SSD slots, one capable of Gen 5 speeds depending on your CPU. It also includes 2.5G Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, and eight rear USBs.
Both motherboards are bundled with 16GB of Team Group T-Force Delta DDR5 RAM, rated for 6000MT/s, and with colorful RGB lighting. Newegg is selling this RAM separately for $128.99 right now, which isn’t bad value in itself, given the market. Having them thrown in for free on top of a brand new motherboard is even better.
It’s easy to become cynical when you’re looking at Black Friday discounts, but a motherboard deal with free RAM for less than $170 in this market isn’t just good value; it could very well be the best deal you’ll see on RAM for a long, long time. Expect this one to sell out fast, so if you’re planning a new PC build or upgrade, don’t hold out – it just won’t get better than this.
