Benchmark Results: Crysis
We keep Crysis around simply because it places a ridiculously high load on graphics at its highest settings.
With the Radeon HD 5850 unable to reach 40 frames per second (FPS) at moderate resolutions and the highest detail levels, we checked the log of each test and did find that, at 1680x1050, all five configurations stayed above 22 FPS. It’s up to you to decide whether that’s an acceptable minimum frame rate, but we’ll normally accept absolute minimums of 25 FPS.
Intel’s Core i7-870 is really beginning to look like a dog in these tests, even though it was used on the exact same hardware as the Core i3-530.
