MSI Teases MPOWER MAX Z87 Motherboard

MSI has been doing an excellent job teasing us regarding its upcoming Z87 XPower motherboard, but now we're getting a taste of something a wee bit different, the MPOWER MAX motherboard.

Previously, we mentioned about a teaser showing a heatsink with a yellow line, and we connected this to the XPower motherboard, but we were wrong. As can clearly be seen in the new teaser this was an earlier teaser to the MPOWER MAX motherboard.

It appears that the MPOWER MAX motherboard would feature an 8+12-phase VRM design, as well as feature solid state capacitors, SFCs and other overclocking features. Like the XPower motherboard, it would be powered by two 8-Pin EPS connectors.

From the older teaser we could also clearly see that the motherboard will have support for an mSATA SSD.

  • Well not like if they can release everything fully. You do know they have embargo date.
