Pantech Vega No.6 is World's Largest Full HD Smartphone

The rumored Pantech Vega IM-A860 full HD handset is set to launch next month as the 'No.6' smartphone.

The device sports a 5.9-inch display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Consequently, the No.6 will become the world's largest full HD smartphone.

During CES 2013, Huawei announced the 6.1-inch Ascend Mate, which boasts the moniker of the device with the world's largest screen found on a phone. However, it's only able to display a 720p resolution.

As for Pantech's No.6, which will initially launch in Korea, it's said to feature a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with an Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera and LTE radio. It's expected to launch with Android Jelly Bean.

During CES 2013, Pantech announced Discover, a 4.8-inch Android smartphone. It's also seemingly working on the dual-core Perception handset, which is set to be offered by U.S. carrier Verizon.

The Galaxy Note 3 will be bigger than that, then that Sony phone just mentioned in a different article will be even bigger than that. Looks like people will have to start using one hand more than the other in their youth just to be able to grow a bigger hand to support these bigger phones.

I typically am on the "forgiving" side but the author's notion that this is the first 1080p phone is amusing.

I taped a phone to my 27" 1080P touch screen monitor, and connected with with HDMI.. so now I have officially created the worlds largest full HD smartphone.
