Following the announcement of the Galaxy S3 Mini, Samsung is seemingly working on the 'Galaxy Premier', which will be a step up from a Galaxy Nexus, but below the specifications of the Galaxy S3.
According to purported leaked specs, the Galaxy Premier (the device seen on the left in the image above next to the Galaxy S3) will apparently feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. However, it won't be powered by the quad-core Exynos chip found inside the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II, but instead contain a dual-core 1.5GHz processor. As for the Premier's screen, the unannounced smartphone will share the same size and resolution stemming from the older Galaxy Nexus device: a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display.
The Galaxy Premier is said to use an 8-megapixel camera found in the Galaxy S3, as well as feature Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS, and DLNA (sharing media over home networks). Also included is a front-facing camera, either 16 or 32 GB of internal storage and a micro SD card slot.
The handset is reportedly targeted just for Europe territories, with a launch in Germany by the end of the year rumored, as well as an estimated price of €480. Due to its inability to work on LTE networks with its HSDPA (HSPA) radio and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA components, the Galaxy Premier is unlikely to see a launch in the United States.
