Following its recent leak, Chinese handset manufacturer ZTE has announced its quad-core, 5-inch Nubia Z5 smartphone.
The Nubia Z5 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it's powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, as well as containing a 2,300 mAh battery.
The handset comes in black or white, accompanied by a 5-inch 1080p touch screen boasting a 1,920x1,080-pixel resolution and 443 PPI, with the display being manufactured by Sharp. For some perspective, the iPhone 5's Retina display has a PPI (pixels-per inch) of 326.
ZTE implemented an aluminum uni-body design that measures 5.43-inches tall, 2.71-inches wide, joined by a thin, 0.3-inch profile. Its weight, meanwhile, is a modest 4.44 ounces.
A 13-megapixel camera with LED flash is at the rear of the device, which boasts features including panoramic and continuous shooting. Joining that is a 2-megapixel camera on the front. Other features include 2 GB of memory, 32GB of storage space, Dolby sound technology, in addition to free backup to a private cloud service.
The device costs around $554.26, but a release in the U.S. is currently unclear. The Chinese handset manufacturer will unveil another quad-core, 5-inch smartphone at CES in the form of its Grand S.
Additionally, it recently announced the 5-inch, dual-core U887 handset, with the company also purportedly planning to launch the world's first eight-core smartphone.

wannabepro The Galaxy S4 is going to have to be pretty beast to keep up with this phone.Reply
IMHO, 5 inch is the perfect size.
I just hope they release it in the US -

When I bought my Galaxy S2, it was $200 with contract or $700 off contract. This means the carrier is providing a $500 subsidy (for this phone, likely a similar number for other new phones) towards your new phone when you renew your contract.
If this phone is $554 before subsidy, I bet it would be very cheap for purchase with a contract! -
STravis Whateve's....I've played with some ZTE stuff in the past. I'll have to see this to believe it.Reply -

antitalent And how long does that 2300mAh battery last? Apart from that it's top notch, but it's funny to see someone crying for a charger at the end of a day :-oReply -
