Today is Amazon Student Day, which means that the mega-etailer is offering special deals and discounts to students, as well as a little bonus cash for current Amazon Student members who recruit friends.
Today only, you'll get ten bucks to spend on Amazon for every friend you refer a friend to Amazon Student, and anyone who joins will get free two-day shipping and continued Amazon Student-only deals and promos for six months. When that expires, Amazon Student members will get 50% off of the same on Amazon Prime (as well as access to movies, TV and music streaming and Kindle books).
A couple of deals jump out right away, such as $20 off Amazon Fire TV, $50 off the Kindle Fire HDX and a $10 Amazon AppStore credit.
