CableMod Expands Product Line With Basic Cable Kits, Support For Corsair RMi/RMx PSUs

CableMod announced that it has expanded its line of pre-sleeved power supply cables. The company introduced the Basic Cable Kits product line and added support for Corsair's latest power supply lineup. The Basic Cable Kits offer direct replacements for the four most commonly sleeved power supply cables: the 24-pin ATX, 4+4-pin EPS and a pair of 6+2-pin PCIe cables.

CableMod's previous products include complete power supply cable replacement kits for common units from EVGA, Corsair and Seasonic. The company later launched a line of pre-sleeved wires in various colors and bare connectors that could be ordered to build your own cables with personalized color patterns. The Basic Cable Kits aren't completely customizable like the extension cables are, but they are made with the same materials, and are offered in five different colors with the option of one solid color, or accented with black wires.

CableMod said that the Basic Cable Kits are available for EVGA G2, P2 and T2, Seasonic XP2, XP3, KM3 and FL2 as well as Corsair AX, ASi, HXi, and RM modular power supplies. Along with the launch of the Basic Cables Kits, CableMod also launched the C-Series RMi/RMx cables for Corsair RMi and RMx power supplies. The company said that owners of full C-Series AXi, HXi & RM Cables Kits can purchase a basic RMi/RMx kit and use the remainder of the cables if they change power supplies. CableMod Basic Cable Kits are made of the same ModFlex sleeving material found on all of CableMod's other products.

CableMod said the kits will be available starting next week. It did not say what the final price will be, though the company said the basic kits will be cheaper than the full replacement kits, which can be found for $89.95 at the only authorized dealer in North America, Performance-pcs.com.

Love it! I was planning to buy a full kit for my 750 G2, but this seems like a much cheaper solution. Sleeving is getting easier and easier.

Their stuff is nicely done in the aesthetic department, but I'm not enthused about the fact that the cables have a smaller diameter than the stock ones. Having a smaller wire diameter does speed up the sleeving process I guess, making it a lot easier to fit the sleeved wires into the connectors.
