The Lame MP3 Encoder under Windows XP is used to convert a 178 MB sound file from a WAV format to a 'MPEG-1 Layer 3' format. Although the Duron 1200 is faster than an Intel Pentium 4/1400, the Intel Celeron 1200 ranks several steps higher.
MPEG-4 Video Encoding: Flask Mpeg And Divx
The Duron 1200 hits a refresh rate of 17.5 frames per second, even beating the Intel Pentium 4/1500. Trailing behind the others is the Intel Celeron 1200, with only 12.1 frames per second.
