Xabre Rattling - SiS's New Graphics Chip

High Polygon Count

This test measures the attainable triangle throughput of a given card:

  • 1 light: For a high throughput, we have only diffuse materials and a single directional light in this run.
  • 8 lights: We have the same scene, but the dragons are of a shiny material giving a specular reflection. There are 8 lights all in all; one directional and 7 point lights.

In the simple test with only one light source, the Xabre comes in just behind the NVIDIA duo, but still ahead of the Radeon 7500. In the more complex 8 light test, which uses additional reflections on the objects, the Xabre takes the lead, though just barely.
