Xabre Rattling - SiS's New Graphics Chip

Xabre

SiS will be bringing the Xabre chip to market in several different flavors, the first of which will be the Xabre400, which will also be the fastest version for the time being. Two more versions, the 200 and 80, will be introduced later as less expensive alternatives. While the two bigger versions will differ only in clockspeed, the small 80 version will lack an AGP 8x interface and be limited to using either simple 128 bit SDRAM or 64 bit DDR-RAM. That clearly makes this version a perfect choice for system integrators and the low-cost OEM market. Here's an overview of the chips:
