Verizon's 5-Inch HTC Android Could be Droid DNA
HTC handset set to launch before Black Friday and holiday shopping season.
Previously thought to be the Droid Incredible X, DIX, or DLX, a purported copy of a Verizon document confirms that the five-inch smartphone will be named the Droid DNA. Verizon has listed the HTC6435LVW handset for $199.99 with a release date of November 20.
The rumored model will apparently feature a 1920 x 1080-pixel HD display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz processor and Adreno 320 GPU.
The 5.5-inch quad-core LTE Samsung Galaxy Note 2 boasts a starting price of $300, while LG's "phablet" released for $199, so it's surprising that the Droid DNA's entry price isn't higher.
Lending credence to the report is the fact that, back in April, HTC had reportedly confirmed plans to launch a 5-inch smartphone via Verizon this fall.

Eat that, apple!
Is that with a contract or just for the handset?
It took a year plus delays to get last years OS on a Verizon phone. No way any Verizon customers get JB on existing phones not names GS3...
I myself own a Bionic, and while the delay to get ICS was frustrating, it was due to the buggy release of the Razr/Razr Maxx ICS. Since the Razr's are essentially identical to the Bionic except for the screen it was logical that ICS would be buggy on it as well, so it was delayed.
But before you say only the Galaxy 3 will get JB, you should read what Motorola released as far as their plans for JB. They have said many of their phones will get JB, including the Bionic. In fact, if it can run JB hardware wise, it will get it, or they will give the customer $100.
