VIDEO: Intel Engineers Shot Out of Cannons
Big badda-boom!
I liked Intel's commercials about their rockstars being different to our rockstars or their big ideas not being like our big ideas. There were quirky but also kind of cool, which I guess was sort of the point. Today the company adds another neat clip to their video library. This one has cannons!
All Things Digital this week carries a video of five Intel engineers (or actors hired to act as Intel engineers) in Finland being shot from a cannon. The brave Intel rocketeers are being fired at an arrangement of bells. Why? To try and recreate the famous "Intel Inside" chime!
Before you get too excited, yes, the entire thing is fake and a part of Intel's Sponsors of Tomorrow campaign. But don't let that put you off. Check out the video below and let us know what you think!

All that just to create a chime?!! I hate their, bum...bum-BUM-bum-BUM commercials!!

I quote the article: "Before you get too excited, yes, the entire thing is fake and a part of Intel's Sponsors of Tomorrow campaign."
Its totally fake (as stated in the article), but its still absolutely awesome and hilarious. I quite enjoyed it.

They means the subtitle to the article, "Big badda-boom", one of Jorben and Leeloos lines.

Korben not Jorben
Badda big boom!
So that's how their Larrabee engineers got *fired*
Maybe the FTC should figure out who are the people in Intel responsible for paying off PC makers to not sell AMD and have them shot out of cannons - for real.

multi-pass!!!!
The guy introducing this must be a norwegian (or at least he must have grown up there). Anybody who lives in Norway or Sweden can spot that a million miles away, that he has a norwegian accent....
So for me that spoilt the thing even before it began!
I love the easter egg - look closely when the cannon shoots and someone goes flying off screen!
That was cool!! Reminded me of that Microsoft waterslide video
lol, all you needed to say was Finland....
That was entertaining. =D
What I think should happen to whoever thought of netburst though... -_-
I don't understand the point of these commercials
How do you detect if the video is fake or not? (honest question, I truly don't know. Educate me)
Funny and amusing. I love it almost as much as the break room commercial w/ the "rock stars".
i would ha\/e read this had the first words been "...and splattered onto a concrete wall."
