Corsair ships Xpert memory modules

Next news
2:56 PM - February 1, 2005 by Wolfgang Gruener

Corsair said it is now shipping its blinking and text-scrolling memory modules, dubbed Xpert.

The devices use an integrated microcontroller and embedded sensors to measure voltage, temperature, and frequency on the memory module. Each of these parameters, along with a user-programmable scrolling marquee can be shown on a big alphanumeric display that is part of the memory module. The modules also have two rows of memory activity LED's that show real-time memory activity.

The first XPERT product, TwinXP1024-3200XL, is a matched pair of 512 MByte DDR DIMMs supporting 2-2-2-5 latencies at PC3200 speeds.

Pricing was not announced. (THG)
