Philips announces Blu-ray burner
Next newsPhilips is the next in line to announce a Blu-ray PC drive. The company said that it will be intorducing the 2x writer, which will be able to write and read 25 GB and 50 GB Blu-ray media.
Philips' drive will be joining the Blu-ray parade - which includes already announced drives from Samsung, Sony and Pioneer - in August and sell for around $1000 at launch.
