Faster Than The E65500 And The 6000+
When the processor's cores are set to run at 3.3 GHz, performance improves by another 5%.

Now, the Black Edition is able to outpace the Core 2 Duo E6550 by an average of 2.5% in our benchmark suite. It also leads the 6000+ by a 2% margin on average. Although the gaming shortcomings persist, on the whole, the processor can score some wins in Unreal Tournament and Serious Sam 2.

We can see that the 5000+ Black Edition will cost about $40 less than the E6550. The unlocked multiplier comes with a mark-up of about $20 compared to the standard 5000+, which is also available using the G2 stepping.
