LG Confirms Its August 7 Event is For the G2
Just in case you'd forgotten.
There was no question in our minds what LG's August 7 event was for, but the company is eager for all invited guests to know exactly what they're in for. LG on Monday sent out a second round of press invites informing recipients that the August 7 event would indeed be the unveiling of the LG G2 (the Korean company is ditching the Optimus branding this time around).
The company sent out summons for an event it's planning in New York City way back in June. This invite states that attendees will "experience" the LG G2 and features a photo of the phone itself. The photo hints towards the rumored new button placement above and below the device's camera lens.
The invite also features the same, "To me, you are perfect," tagline we saw in this teaser video that LG released July 8. Yep, LG definitely doesn't want you to forget about this one.
