    why cant netgear just release a new version of the wndr4700 that uses 802.11ac.
    Currently have the wndr4700 and it is the best router I have ever used so far. (the r6300 + seagate external drive seems like a weird combination (the r6300 from reviews that I have seen, does not have USB performance at a level that will justify any use above handling basic text files and other minor things. The 4700 on the other hand has NAS performance (especially with the latest firmware) that rivals many dedicated NAS boxes 35-40MB/s writes and around 90MB/s reads
