Samsung reveals 8G and 9G production schedules

Samsung Electronics expects to start operating an eighth-generation (8G) TFT LCD plant in the second half of 2007, with a 9G plant to start volume production in 2009 at the latest, according to Sang Wan Lee, president of Samsung's LCD Business, as quoted by the South Korea-based Chosun Ilbo.
