Intel's Core i9-14900KF drops to sub-$400 all-time low — Raptor Lake Refresh flagship plummets in price
Intel has a ton of Black Friday CPU deals going, but the Core i9-14900KF is one of the few that's hit an all-time low price. It's available for just $392, bringing the flagship Raptor Lake Refresh chip — minus the integrated graphics — down to a new low.
Newegg has the chip priced at $442, but you can save an additional $50 at checkout with the promo code BFE926. The Core i9-14900K (sans F suffix) is on sale, as well, but it's only marked down to $429. There's usually about a $20 gap between K and KF parts, so the deal on the Core i9-14900KF is larger than what we typically see.
The chip is backordered at the time of writing, but it's estimated to come back in stock in just a few days (December 1). Given that it's already backordered, you'll want to pick it up quickly if you're interested before it goes out of stock for good.
All-time low price
The Intel Core i9-14900KF is down to a new all-time low price. You can save $50 on the 24-core chip by using code BFE926 at checkout.
The Core i9-14900KF is identical to the Core i9-14900K, just without integrated graphics. You get the same 24 cores (8P + 16E) and 32 threads, along with up to a 6 GHz boost clock speed and compatibility with 600 and 700-series motherboards.

In games, the Core i9-14900KF is Intel's highest-performing chip available, even in the face of newer Arrow Lake offerings. It's only marginally better than the Core i7-14700K, however, which is also on sale. That CPU offers about 97% of the gaming performance of the Core i9-14900K, so if gaming is your only concern, stick with the Core i7.
The Core i9-14900KF earns its strips with its massive core array, outpacing the Core i7-14700K by a solid 13% in multi-threaded workloads. The newer Core Ultra 9 285K holds a 15% lead over the Core i9-14900K in multi-threaded workloads, but that chip (and Arrow Lake more broadly) particularly shines with fast DDR5 memory. And, right now, it's hard to put too much stock in a speedy DDR5 kit.

Although the Core Ultra 9 285K is faster in productivity workloads, the Core i9-14900KF has an advantage in that it supports DDR4 memory. It's one of the few drop-in replacements you can make as we all ride out the DRAM pricing apocalypse. If you don't already have an LGA1700 motherboard with DDR4 support, there aren't a ton of options, but we potted this MSI Pro B760-P Wi-Fi board on sale for $140.
You can pick up the Intel Core i9-14900KF at Newegg for $392 now with code BFE926. It's backordered until December 1, so make sure to pick it up quickly if you want to secure a unit before the holiday rush is over.
