Sytrin Nextherm ICS 8200: The Air-Conditioned Mid Tower
Conclusion
Retail packaging
An air-conditioned mid-size tower - at first glance, that doesn't sound too bad at all. With its Peltier cooling system, the Nextherm ICS 8200 does indeed cool down the interior of the case quite well. Unfortunately, this comes at a price: very high noise levels reaching up to 50 dB(a), and increased power consumption. The noise makes concentrated work virtually impossible, yet Sytrin's case doesn't qualify as a server tower either, as it lacks the necessary expandability with regard to 3.5" drives.
Finally, at around $330 the Nextherm ICS 8200 isn't exactly budget-friendly either - not to mention the additional costs in the form of higher electricity bills.
