Black|OPS Awesome Gaming Rig Starts at $1,709

PC gamers not in the mood to piece together a hot gaming rig can take the easy way out and purchase the Black|OPS PC from Digital Storm. Announced yesterday, this new addition to Digital Storm's lineup comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 and offers a choice of Intel's Core i5/i7 processors, or AMD's Phenom II X4 CPUs. Other tasty options includes the ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics card, the company's proprietary Sub-Zero Liquid Cooling System, and a default 4 GB of RAM.

Thanks to the company's TwisterBoost Overclocking process, the Black|OPS PC can be overclocked and tested right out of the box--the process is even backed by Digital Storm's 3 year parts and labor warranty. Digital Storm also implemented its Noise Suppression Package into the design, consisting of noise dampening material, tweaking fan speeds, adjusting chassis air-flow, and analyzing the rig's noise structure.

"With Black|OPS, our engineers designed, integrated and optimized our gaming PCs from the ground up; the result is nothing less than astounding," commented Rajeev Kuruppu, Digital Storm’s Director of Product Development. "Unlike other gaming PC integrators, who simply cram the latest hardware into chassis, Digital Storm’s engineers select the highest quality components and ensure that every piece works in perfect unison with each other. We truly believe that our Black|OPS systems will redefine the standards that gamers hold their systems to."

The base price for the "Performance" rig starts at $1,709. PC gamers wanting a bit more meat can purchase the "Extreme" version that offers a base price of $3,102. This model includes the Intel i7 960 @ 3.2 GHz, 6 GB of DDR3 RAM (1600 MHz) the ATI Radeon HD 5870 (1 GB), and more. Customize your Black|OPS PC by heading here.

That's pretty pricey. I'd rather build my own.

I'll build the same rig for less, with better OC potential and offer better warranty. And, i will offer PC's for all classes, not just gaming.

Was that guy in the video really wearing a lab coat while pretending to assemble a computer? I think this was dubbed cheesy in 1985.

Would have been more impressed if one of the characters in the video looked 20 or older. I've seen the type of slop kids put together and wouldn't want one building a computer for me.
