Following the announcement of Best Buy's Insignia Flex tablet, a report has suggested the device will feature a mid-$200 price range.
According to a Reuters report, the 9.7-inch Android-powered tablet will be priced between $239 and $259. The device itself is currently scheduled for a release on November 11.
The extremely competitive price range was, however, expected with Best Buy's Insignia division developing the tablet. It has always offered competitive prices for its HDTVs lineup, along with a slew of other electronic products.
The tablet will feature a dual-core 1GHz processor, with its operating system being Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Other specifications such as memory, storage, screen type or wireless configurations have yet to be revealed.
In addition to Google's affordable Nexus 7 tablet ($250), the Insignia Flex pits itself against the likes of the iPad and Samsung's Galaxy Tab 2, with both devices' price starting from $499 and $399, respectively.
The Flex, however, also has the wildly-rumored and all-but-confirmed iPad Mini to compete against. When it is purportedly announced on October 23, a price range of $250 to $300 is expected.
