LG’s new Google Nexus smartphone could be showcased to the public for the first time at end of the month.
French newspaper Le Figaro is reporting that the firm will officially unveil the new device on October 29. That's the same date that Microsoft is due to unveil its Windows Phone 8 operating system. The device may become available a few weeks later sometime during mid-November, reports The Verge.
The unannounced smartphone is rumored to contain a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 1280×768-pixel display, as well as run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
A leaked image of the smartphone, meanwhile, can be seen above. As clearly depicted by the screenshot, speculation has suggested that the screen will be about as large as the Galaxy Nexus, and while it won't feature LTE, it'll offer DC-HSDPA.
The existence of the smartphone was further proved when The Verge obtained a Carphone Warehouse inventory listing showcasing "LG Nexus4 Black" and "LG Nexus4 White" placeholders.
