Axiomtek Releases a 15.6'' Fanless Multi-touch Computer

Axiomtek's GOT3157W-832-PCT is a fanless panel computer that offers a multi-touch projected capacitive 15.6" TFT-LCD display with a WXGA resolution (1280 x 720) that is intended to offer "hassle-free deployment" in a range of locations, such as self-service retail kiosks and automated machine control panels.

The computer is powered by an Intel Atom D2550 Cedarview processor clocked at 1.86 GHz paired with an Intel NM10 Express Chipset that offers a single SO-DIMM with support for a maximum of 4 GB of memory, two COM connectors (1 x RS-232, 1 x RS-232/422/485), HD audio, two Gigabit ethernet and four USB 2.0 ports. Also included is a single 2.5" SATA drive bay, a CompactFlash II port, and optional support for a WLAN module (via a mini-WLAN card) and antenna.

The GOT3157W-832-PCT offers a durable modular design that is rated for IP65 water and dust-proof protection, noiseless operation at temperatures from -10°C to 50°C, and it has a patented vibration-resistant design that guarantees functionality while under a maximum of 2G (19.62 m/s2). The device can also support panel mounting and can be mounted on walls, VESA arms, and desktop stands with an optional adapter.

Axiomtek's GOT3157W-832-PCT will be available in early April and will be sold directly from the company.
