FSP Unveils the Aurum 92+ HW PSU

FSP has unveiled its flagship PSU series, the 80 Plus Platinum certified Aurum 92+ HW, which will be available in capacities of 850 W (HW850), 1000 W (HW1000), and 1200 W (HW1200) and will offer a 92 percent efficiency level.

The Aurum 92+ HW features a single +12V rail design, compliance with ATX 12V v2.31 and EPS v2.92 that supports Intel’s 4th Generation processors’ low power states, LLC full-bridge topology design, and includes eight 6+2-pin PCIe connectors, 24-pin ATX and a “large number” of SATA / Molex ports.

FSP hasn’t released any information on the Aurum 92+ HW’s pricing or availability.

    Platinum is also called white gold by some. In Latin that would be Niveus Aurum.

    Cool, but the only people who buy platinum certified power supplies need them for always-on servers, or have more money than brains.
