Sony Xperia SP Goes On Sale in the UK
The lovechild of the Xperia S and the Xperia P has hit UK shelves.
Back in March, Sony confirmed the existence of the Xperia SP, a mid-range smartphone with 4G LTE and a 4.6-inch display. Earlier this week, Sony went ahead and launched the phone in the United Kingdom.
While the specs might not match the top of the line Xperia Z we saw at CES, the Xperia SP packs quite the punch for a mid-range smartphone. Boasting a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon S4 Pro, Adreno 320 graphics, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage (expandable to 32GB via microSD), a 4.7-inch 720p HD Reality Display with Sony's own Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, an 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, 1080p video recording, NFC, and a 2370mAh battery.
The phone is available now on T-Mobile and Orange, and Xperia Blog reports that O2, Three and EE also have placeholders for the phone. You can nab it off-contract for a very reasonable £250 should you feel so inclined.

CrArC £250, a good price. I was thinking of blagging a Nexus 4 but this significantly outspecs it in the same price range...Reply
