Biostar Mini-ITX Motherboard has Celeron J1800 CPU Aboard

Biostar has announced a new Mini-ITX motherboard that carries a Celeron J1800 CPU.

The Celeron J1800 CPU is a dual-core Bay Trail processor, which has a base frequency of 2.41 GHz and a Turbo frequency of 2.58 GHz. It has 1 MB of L2 cache. The GPU aboard has a frequency of 688 MHz, with a maximum dynamic frequency of 792 MHz. In its entirety it has a TDP of just 10 Watts.

Onboard users will find space for a single DDR3 SODIMM memory module, as well as connectivity for two SATA2 devices and a single PCIe 1x device.

Rear I/O connectivity of the motherboard is achieved by a pair of classy PS/2 ports, a VGA port, an HDMI port, a single USB 3.0 port, four USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, as well as stereo audio jacks.

The Biostar J1800NH should soon be available for pre-order for about $60.

    Interesting how all those J1800-based boards have MSRPs lower than Intel's own for the chip alone in trays of 1000.

    May be a pre-order only price or perhaps they're getting the chips cheaper than Intel is listing the tray price at.

    Why would anyone buy it when Gigabyte offers the same package for the exact same price.We all know that Gigabyte is way better than Biostar when it comes to quality.
