Ukraine's T0lsty Wins the 2013 MSI MOA Grand Finals

Every year MSI holds its MOA, which is short for Master Overclocking Arena. Through numerous qualifications a handful of overclockers get invited to the event, each handed a hardware set and granted free rights to overclock as high as their abilities let them.

This year, overclocking guru T0lsty from Ukraine has become the 2013 MOA Champion. Along with second place winner Lucky_n00b from Indonesia, and lastly Xtreme_Addict from Poland, you've got the top-three Extreme MOA Classic Battle winners. They all went home with the hardware they used for the overclocking (which MSI valued at about $3000), as well as cash prizes, which was $3000 for first place, $2000 for second place, and $1000 for the third place winner.

The hardware set that was handed to each of the overclockers consisted of an MSI Z87 MPOWER MAX motherboard, an Intel Core i7-4770K CPU, a GTX 780 LIGHTNING graphics card, 8 GB of Corsair Vengeance Pro memory, a Plextor M5 Pro Xtreme SSD, and a BenQ XL2420T monitor. All the hardware was powered by a 1500W Cooler Master Silent Pro M2.

Also, a number of World records were set at the MOA 2013 Grand Final. Overclocker oc_windforce from Korea scored 1891 marks in XTU, Vivi from South Africa scored 13.91 points in Cinebench R11.5, and Rbuass from Brazil managed to mark in 4697.85 DX11 points in the HWBOT Unigine Heaven benchmark, with the Xtreme preset settings. These folks went home with $6000 in their pockets. Also, Vivi and Rbuass were awarded another $1000 sponsored by Corsair for achieving world memory records.
